Generating Reports

Use the Reports page to create report jobs, track status, and download completed artifacts.

Current Capabilities

• Report types: Compliance, Executive, Drift
• Generation model: Asynchronous jobs
• Output format: PDF only
• Builder: Section toggles + section reordering + branding inputs
• Persistence: Generated reports appear in History

Build Flow

1. Open Reports.
2. Select Build.
3. Choose a report type.
4. Configure source data:
   • Compliance: framework + assessment run
   • Executive: optional framework + date window
   • Drift: date window + optional severity/status filters
5. Configure sections in the advanced builder:
   • Enable/disable sections
   • Reorder sections with move controls
6. Set branding fields:
   • Title
   • Subtitle
   • Footer text
7. Click Generate Report.

The report is queued and processed in the background.

Templates and Drafts

• Save Draft stores builder state per report type.
• Save Template stores reusable section layout presets.
• You can apply a template before generation.

Status Tracking

After generation starts, the UI shows job status:

• pending
• running
• completed
• failed
• cancelled

When status is completed, the report can be downloaded from History.

Notes

• Reports are generated from a point-in-time snapshot of selected source parameters.
• PDF is the only supported export format in the current release.
