Creating Schedules

New Schedule

  1. Go to Backup > Schedules
  2. Click Create Schedule
  3. Configure schedule
  4. Save and enable

Schedule Configuration

Save and Enable

  1. Review configuration
  2. Click Save Schedule
  3. Schedule is enabled by default

Managing Schedules

Schedule List

View all schedules:

Enable/Disable

Toggle schedule status:

  1. Find schedule in list
  2. Click toggle switch
  3. Status changes immediately

Disabled schedules don't run but retain configuration.

Edit Schedule

Modify existing schedules:

  1. Click schedule name
  2. Click Edit
  3. Change settings
  4. Save

Delete Schedule

Remove schedules:

  1. Select schedule
  2. Click Delete
  3. Confirm

Execution History

View past runs:

  1. Open schedule
  2. Click History
  3. See runs with status

Schedule Strategies

Standard Protection

Basic scheduled backup strategy:

Schedule 1: Weekly Full
- Frequency: Weekly (Sunday 2 AM)
- Type: Full backup
- Retention: 30 days

Schedule 2: Daily Incremental
- Frequency: Daily (2 AM, except Sunday)
- Type: Incremental
- Retention: 7 days

High-Security

Enhanced protection:

Schedule 1: Daily Full
- Frequency: Daily (3 AM)
- Type: Full backup
- Retention: 90 days

Schedule 2: 4-Hour Incremental
- Frequency: Every 4 hours
- Type: Incremental
- Retention: 48 hours

Compliance-Focused

For audit requirements:

Schedule 1: Weekly Compliance
- Frequency: Weekly (Friday 6 PM)
- Type: Full backup
- Retention: 2 years

Schedule 2: Monthly Archive
- Frequency: Monthly (1st, midnight)
- Type: Full backup
- Retention: 7 years

Backup Retention

Automatic Cleanup

Old backups are deleted based on retention:

  • Scheduled task runs daily
  • Backups past retention are removed
  • Manual backups follow their own retention

Retention Warnings

Notifications when:

  • Storage limits approached

Extending Retention

To keep a backup longer:

  1. Open the backup
  2. Click Edit
  3. Extend retention date
  4. Or move to archive (if available)
