Quick Start Tutorial

This quick start guide will help you get started with Securtea in just a few minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit securtea.io
  2. Click Sign Up
  3. Enter your email and create a password
  4. Verify your email address

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

Once logged in:

  1. Click Create Organization
  2. Enter your organization name (e.g., "Acme Corp")
  3. Choose a unique slug (e.g., "acme-corp")
  4. Select your subscription plan

Organization Roles

Securtea supports multiple roles:

  • Owner - Full control over the organization
  • Admin - Manage settings and users
  • Member - View and run assessments
  • Billing Admin - Manage subscription and billing

Step 3: Connect Microsoft 365

To assess your security posture, connect your Microsoft 365 tenant:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Click Connect Microsoft 365
  3. Sign in with your Global Administrator account
  4. Grant the required permissions:
    • Directory.Read.All
    • Organization.Read.All
    • Policy.Read.All
    • SecurityEvents.Read.All

Step 4: Run Your First Assessment

Now you're ready to assess your compliance:

  1. Navigate to Assessments
  2. Click New Assessment
  3. Select CIS Microsoft 365 Foundations Benchmark
  4. Click Run Assessment

The assessment will take 2-3 minutes to complete.

Step 5: View Results

Once complete:

  1. Click on your assessment to view results
  2. See your overall compliance score
  3. Review failed controls
  4. Click on any control to see detailed evidence
