Personalize your Securtea dashboard layout and widget configuration
Dashboard Customization
Tailor your dashboard to show the information most relevant to your role and responsibilities.
Layout Options
Default Layout
When you first access the dashboard, you see the default layout with:
- Secure Score (top left)
- Compliance Summary (top right)
- Drift Summary (middle)
- Recent Assessments (bottom)
- Quick Actions (sidebar)
Widget Arrangement
Widgets can be arranged to match your workflow:
- Drag and Drop - Click and drag widgets to reorder
- Resize - Drag widget edges to resize (where supported)
- Remove - Click the X to hide a widget
- Add - Click "Add Widget" to restore hidden widgets
Your layout preferences are saved automatically and persist across sessions.
Widget Configuration
Framework Progress Widget
Configure which framework to display:
- Click the gear icon (⚙) on the widget
- Select your preferred framework:
- CIS Microsoft 365 Foundations
- NIST 800-53
- SOC 2
- ISO 27001
- Click Save
Drift Summary Widget
Configure severity filters:
- Click the gear icon (⚙)
- Select which severities to include:
- Critical (always visible)
- High
- Medium
- Low
- Set the time range (24 hours, 7 days, 30 days)
- Click Save
Recent Assessments Widget
Configure display options:
- Click the gear icon (⚙)
- Set the number of assessments to show (3, 5, 10)
- Choose frameworks to include
- Click Save
Personal Preferences
Theme Settings
Switch between light and dark modes:
- Click your profile icon in the header
- Select Theme
- Choose:
- Light - Bright background
- Dark - Dark background
- System - Match your OS preference
Time Zone
Dashboard timestamps use your browser's time zone. To change:
- Update your operating system's time zone settings
- Refresh the dashboard
Notification Preferences
Control which events appear in your notifications widget:
- Go to Settings > User > Notifications
- Toggle notification types:
- Assessment completions
- Drift events
- Report generations
- System announcements
- Click Save
Role-Based Views
Different users may want different default views based on their role:
Security Analyst View
Focus on security metrics:
- Secure Score (prominent)
- Drift Summary (expanded)
- Framework Progress (CIS)
- Critical alerts
Compliance Officer View
Focus on compliance status:
- Compliance Summary (prominent)
- All Framework Progress widgets
- Recent Assessments
- Report generation shortcuts
IT Administrator View
Focus on operational data:
- Drift Summary (prominent)
- Recent changes
- System notifications
- Quick actions
Saved Views
Create and switch between saved dashboard configurations:
Creating a View
- Arrange your dashboard as desired
- Click Save View in the dashboard header
- Enter a name (e.g., "Compliance Review")
- Click Save
Switching Views
- Click the view selector in the dashboard header
- Choose from your saved views
- The dashboard updates immediately
Managing Views
- Edit - Modify an existing view
- Rename - Change the view name
- Delete - Remove a saved view
- Set Default - Choose which view loads on sign-in
Sharing Dashboards
Dashboard layouts can be shared with team members:
Export Configuration
- Click Dashboard Settings (gear icon in header)
- Select Export Layout
- Copy the generated code or download the file
Import Configuration
- Click Dashboard Settings
- Select Import Layout
- Paste the configuration code or upload the file
- Click Apply
Sharing exports the layout structure only, not any sensitive data.
Resetting to Defaults
To restore the original dashboard layout:
- Click Dashboard Settings
- Select Reset to Default
- Confirm the action
Your saved views are preserved; only the current view resets.
Tips for Effective Dashboards
Prioritize Critical Information
- Place high-priority widgets at the top
- Use larger sizes for frequently referenced data
- Keep quick actions accessible
Reduce Noise
- Hide widgets you rarely use
- Filter notifications to important events
- Use appropriate time ranges
Match Your Workflow
- Arrange widgets in the order you review them
- Create different views for different tasks
- Update layouts as your responsibilities change
Troubleshooting
Layout Not Saving
If your layout changes aren't persisting:
- Check that cookies are enabled
- Clear browser cache and try again
- Ensure you're not in private/incognito mode
- Contact support if issues persist
Widgets Not Loading
If widgets show loading indicators indefinitely:
- Refresh the page
- Check your internet connection
- Verify your Microsoft 365 connection is active
- Clear cache and reload
Missing Widgets
If a widget has disappeared:
- Click Add Widget in the dashboard header
- Select the missing widget
- Drag it to your preferred location
