Assessment History
Track your compliance journey with assessment history. See how your security posture has evolved and identify patterns in your compliance data.
Accessing History
Navigate to Compliance > History to view past assessments.
History View
Assessment List
The history view shows all completed assessments:

| Framework(s) | Frameworks evaluated |
| Score | Overall compliance percentage |
| Change | Comparison to previous run |
| Duration | How long it took |
| Status | Completed, failed, cancelled |
Filtering History
Filter assessments by:
- Date Range - Last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, custom
- Framework - Specific framework assessments
- Status - Completed, failed, scheduled
Sorting Options
Sort by:
- Date (newest/oldest)
- Score (highest/lowest)
- Framework (alphabetical)
Viewing Past Assessments
Opening an Assessment
Click any assessment to view its full results:
- Summary statistics
- Control-by-control breakdown
- Evidence collected at that time
- Remediation guidance (as of that date)
Point-in-Time View
Historical assessments show your compliance state at that moment:
- Configurations as they existed
- Framework version at the time
- Evidence from that assessment run
Historical assessments don't update. They represent a snapshot of your compliance at that point in time.
Trend Analysis
Compliance Score Trend
The trend chart shows:
- Score over time - Line graph of compliance percentage
- Assessment points - Individual assessment results
- Trend line - Overall direction of compliance
Interpreting Trends
| Trend | Meaning | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Upward | Improving compliance | Continue current efforts |
| Flat | Stable compliance | Focus on remaining gaps |
| Downward | Declining compliance | Investigate root cause |
| Volatile | Inconsistent results | Review configuration changes |
Framework-Specific Trends
View trends per framework:
- Click the framework filter
- Select a specific framework
- See trend data for that framework only
Comparison Features
Comparing Two Assessments
Compare any two assessments:
- Select an assessment from history
- Click Compare
- Choose another assessment
- View side-by-side comparison

Theme Analysis
Theme Progress
View compliance by control theme:
- Identity & Access Management
- Data Protection
- Logging & Monitoring
- etc.
Theme Trends
Track which areas are improving:
- Navigate to History > Theme Analysis
- Select time range
- View theme-by-theme trends
Identifying Weak Areas
Themes consistently below target indicate areas needing focus:
- Review controls in that theme
- Prioritize remediation efforts
- Consider additional training or resources
Calendar View
Monthly Overview
Switch to calendar view to see:
- Days with assessments
- Assessment scores color-coded
- Quick access to specific dates
Assessment Patterns
Identify patterns in your assessment schedule:
- Are assessments running as scheduled?
- Any gaps in coverage?
- Assessment frequency appropriate?

Data Retention
Assessment history is retained based on your plan:

- Export assessments you need to retain
- Store in your document management system
